The Department of Microbiology, Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital organized several competition like Rangoli, Poster and Quiz completion for the MLT students of School of Allied Health Sciences on the Occasion of World HIV Day 2022 held on 01.12.2022 at SMVMCH. The MLT students of final and second year participated in these events and got Prizes. A Guest Lecture was arranged for the AHS Students of FIRST year, MLT students of second and final year. Dr. Mangaiyarkarasi. T , Professor of Microbiology, SMVMCH delivered a Guest Lecture on Prevention of HIV. Also students gave a awareness programme for the public on HIV and its prevention. The faculties of Medical College, AHS, and Dean of AHS -Dr. Gopal, Professor of Microbiology graced the occasion and shared their views and suggestion to the students regarding their poster and Rangoli. Eight Posters and Four Rangoli were displayed by the students of MLT. On the Conclusion of the Program, Dean of AHS and Dr. Mangaiyarkarasi presented the prizes to the winners of the competition. Dr. Radha, Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Mr. Anandh, Research Scientist of Microbiology made the arrangement in a best way to make the programme a grand success.
