Students of Allied Health Sciences (Final year) attended a guest lecture organized by Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Pondicherry on 08/02/2023. Mr. Ashish Jain & Dr. Sharmila Anand spoke on the job opportunities and Career advancement for AHS students. A demo on Simulation in the laboratory was also arranged.
International day of Radiology
‘International day of Radiology’ was observed on 08/11/2022 at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College Hospital. The students of 2nd & 3rd year of B.Sc RGIT presented posters related to the theme Radiologists and Radiographers supporting patients and Radiation Safety and Protection in general population and antenatal mother 1st Prize was bagged by Geerthivasini.S and Mohamed Ethuris.U of 2nd & 3rd year respectively.
HANDS ON WORKSHOP ON BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
A hands on workshop on Basic life support was organised for the faculty of Allied Health Science on the 17th of October 2022 at the skills lab of Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College. The faculty of the Department of Anaesthesiology conducted the workshop. The AHS faculty members had a hands on experience.
CME on GOOD CLINICAL LABORATORY PRACTICES (GCLP) 10th of October 2022
The students of 3rd year Medical Laboratory Technology participated in the CME on GOOD CLINICAL LABORATORY PRACTICES (GCLP) which was conducted by Sri Vengateshwaraa Medical College, Pondicherry held on 10th of October 2022. The organizers of the program conducted three events for all the students. Our students participated in all the three events and got second prizes in all the three events.

The students of 3rd year Radiography and Imaging Technology participated in the “5th National conference of Society of Radiographers &Radiological Technologists (SORRT) & National level conference of Student Radiological Technologists”. Which was organized by Society of Radiographers &Radiological Technologists and Dr Jeyasekharan Medical Trust Nagercoil, held on 24th & 25th of September 2022 at kanyakumari. Ms. Santhiya Bharathi M presented a Oral paper titled “Digital Subtraction Angiography & Its Post Processing Techniques “at the conference.
OTAT CONFERENCE
The students of 3rd year of Operation Theater & Anaesthesia Technology participated in The 13th National “AIRWAY” conference organized by the all India difficult Airway association (AIDAA) on 11th of September 2022 at NIMHANS Bangalore. The students were given a hands on training in various procedures like, Endotracheal Intubation, Ambu Ventilation, Laryngeal Mask Airway Intubation, Bronchoscopy, video Laryngoscope Intubation, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
